MrBored
Really poor in the first half, lucky to go in all square. Could have easily won it in the second with May & Mackay having great chances. Not one of Millar's finest games. It looked like he was meant to play right midfield and kept drifting into the centre, giving Thistle heaps of room down the side and leaving Mackay with little support going forward. The ghost of Jim Morton
 Second best, second to nearly every ball, lucky to get a point. Having said that we could have won it with a couple of great chances second half. That said , so could Thistle. Pretty disappointing.  Very dis-jointed and the amount of stray simple passes was shocking. The lack of passion and fight is very worrying.  Only positive is we got a point.  Gutted for Ando. We were pretty close and it looked horrible. The poor laddie was in agony.   Oh and no surprise, I thought the ref was down to his usual standard. Some amazing decisions for both teams.   Inverness will destroy us next week if we play like we did today...
The Inspiration
We will win games playing like that, but also lose games playing like that this season. Not one of our best performances but plenty of positives. Reasonably happy with the point but it will become two points lost if we lose next weekend. Â Midge looked like a different player for the last 10/15 when he moved into the centre, so comfortable and happy on the ball when he had been posted missing for the first 75 mins. Gary Miller looked good again at Centre Half, Easton was solid bar a couple of communication problems with Wright, although that will improve as he plays more games. Â Muzz not fully fit, lacked his usual sharpness and sense of urgency. Paddy Cregg played well again as did Stevie May.. his "shoot on sight" policy particularly pleasing to watch. Â First half we were beaten to every first ball and last to react to any second balls and I don't think there's one person who was there that would say we deserved to go in even at half time (great finish from MacLean, Gallagher a bit slow to react though). Saying that, they were extremely lucky with their goal and didn't really look like they would ever score bar that chance. Â Second half was an improvement although we were far from our best and only matched Thistle, never really took a firm hold on the game ourselves at any point. Linky
Thought we were pretty awful first half- weren't closing them down, the players looked slow and second to every ball and were pulling out of some headers. If we got a corner, spoony would amble over to take it, hit it too long and walk back for the goal kick. There was no zip to our play - the only time we saw it was just after we scored and the last 10/20 mins. May and mclean were ok, midfield were nowhere to be seen, defence looked shakey, we are lucky to have such a good goalkeeper. A better team would have destroyed us - thought we were better against dundee u, at least we had a bit of invention that day.
Jamie_Beatson
Really lacking width for long periods today, with Millar always drifting inside where he is far more comfortable and Wotherspoon naturally needing to cut inside on his right foot. We probably should have won it with May and Mackay's chances late on.
ex-montrosesaintee
We weren't great, but I think people are underestimating the quality and workfare of thistle. We played much better than last week, and Partick were head and shoulders above Hibs.
templeofsaints
Thought we were woeful first half. Lost a poor goal but after that looked really shaky. Ando was a bad loss as well but Gary Miller did ok when he came on. Second-half was a bit of an improvement and arguably we could have won if May or Mackays chances went in. But too often the ball was up in the air when our strengths were playing the ball to feet.
mainstand
For the neutral it would I think have been an exciting match with both sides going for a win. Â The slip form Ando was costly in more ways than ine with the injury and the goal. And I think the injury affected some of the saints players for a bit, Â Hope the person that seemed to take ill in the east stand is okay. Would appear to be quite bad for the team doc to head round. HOODLUM65
Mc Lean opportunist strike and that in my opinion was the highlight of the game as far as Saints were concerned. So therefore that for me, made him Saints man of the match. For the other 90 + minutes , poorest in a long time.

Kinnoull Kicker
Agree really poor. For me only Mackay, Wright, Mannus and May get pass marks. Easton looked lost - can't help thinking that Callum Davidson should be recalled. Millar completely useless until moved in to central role. TW needs to take a hard look at team structure and tactics - and he's takes far too long to adjust, make changes. well known fact that Thistle have a good midfield with good passing, movement and pressing - we simply didn't deal with it - why not? Hope homework done on ITc and the appropriate team and tactics deployed plus playing at a higher tempo from kick off else could get a bit of a doin. compol

Scobby_SJFC
Not very good today for me the midfield failed big time. Too many denfensive players in Cregg Davison and Millar (who had a shocker). The pressure put onto May I'd far too much as he has to work more channels and drop deep due to a lack if creative midfielders Much better second half

Broon
I had no idea where the midfield were supposed to be playing. Neither did they and I fear neither did Tommy. We are murder without Nigel on the wing. Too many players not delivering too. Poor show today.
Wendy Saints
Sad to admit we both looked like average 1st division teams today! I do think once TW decides what his best team is, and sticks to it for a few weeks things may improve. Missed opportunity for us today again I fear... rik2304
MacLean is great at laying off/holding the ball up. May loves driving forward. Would they benefit from playing 4-4-1-1? With MacLean right up and May deeper.
dave mc
The lack of energy in the middle of the park worries me,we seem to get over run too often from too many teams, not sure if we've the personnel to change it though 55saint
Bruno Strasser
Midfield posted missing again - Davidson is playing the poorest in all his time at Saints. Wotherspoon is also off the boil. Lucky to get a draw as we struggled to cope with their pace and movement. Really concerned we are going to get a caning off ICT. ex-montrosesaintee
I just feel that creative players like Wotherspoon are covering underperformances from Muzz, Millar, Cregg (less so today) and MacDonald. The quality performances against Rosenborg and Ross County were created by the holding midfielders being outstanding and letting the others play. andy rhodes fancy watch
Agree about the midfield being a walkover for most teams . They look jaded or even unfit . It WILL get better though .
