Have to say my daughter was in half time challenge today and although usually in east stand. Had to sit by dug out and had to laugh at Robbie Nielsen tried to get a free kick and Liam looked at him and basically said **** off you knob was funny. Plus never thought Tommy was a guy who would swear but jeeso never stopped LAUGH OUT LOUD.

The only dissapointment of the day for me was Dave MacKay not coming on to the pitch and getting the send off he deserves. The goal celebration was a real touch of class. From a team that obviously cares about each other.

Hearts were the better side today, but we did what we do best and gave everything we had to get the result.

Ando was class today and has matured into the best Scottish centre-back in the league in my opinion. His reading of the game improves every year.

Clark was also very impressive with three top stops, for the first time ever I now believe he is ready to be our number one keeper...... He should keep the jersey until a drop in form or injury. We have two fantastic keepers on our books and the battle will improve them both.

Was dissapointed by Cummins blatant dive and hope a local charity benefits from a wee fine.

We have the squad to do very well this season indeed.

That was a really enjoyable afternoon.  An entertaining open game for only 1-0, on a cracking sunny afternoon.

Thought both sides were on top for spells in the first half, we maybe had more possession and corners but Hearts had the better chances.  However, the second half we were getting pummelled upto when we scored!  Hearts were on top most of it but we looked threatening on the break.

Our organisation and commitment were excellent, and its a brilliant 3 points, earned without Swanson and Millar.

Clark had a great game.  Anderson was a rock, a tremendous performance.  Thought Murray and Paton worked their socks off in the middle to make life difficult for Hearts.  Coulson had a few good moments though a quiet second half.  Showed he has something though.

Pleased for Cummins to get a goal, he looked poor and short of confidence upto it, and there was a player (possibly Gormley?) stripped and ready to come on when the goal went in.  The subbie then put bib the back on and sat down again.

The dives were poor.  Haven't seen either back yet, but at the game, Cummins' looked laughably bad, and we had an opportunity on the break when Kane seemed to run out of ideas and just fell over the lads leg.  Wasn't sure his was quite as blatant, as there may have been a wee bit of contact.  I can't remember seeing that from a Saints player since Brian Graham 2 years ago.. Bizarre for them both to do it this week after everything that's been said.

Hopefully some of these players can increase their consistency. Paton was invisible against Partick last week but seems to have done well yesterday. Long may that continue.

Paton was poor... He did wel defensively in terms of putting his body on the line but in possession and going forward he was very very average.

Not his greatest fan but thought he was OK & can't be faulty for effort. A couple of passes mind you that almost set up a Hearts player with chances.

Paton and Muzz worked their socks off

Breaking their midfield with solid tackles, box to box, organised, two great performances for what we need in the middle against that lot.  Thought that was Paton's best game by a country mile.

Are Hearts the new Airdrie.....over the last few weeks Hearts have received numerous bookings against other Premiership sides, but when they play Saints they suddenly become a team of angels! Saints receive six bookings and Hearts only receive one, reminds me of the time Airdrieonians were fined for their indiscretions, but still received less bookings when playing Saints!
