  1. I also thought McFadden played very well tonight. Fair play to him for unselfishly playing in MO'H who was on for his third. That's a player who knows how to play the game. I appreciated his contribution tonight, very much so. Did I read someone saying Wright was rubbish? Personally I thought he was a stand out yet again. Without him in the team we wouldn't be looking at 4 points from 6 with only 2 goals conceded. Of that I am absolutely certain. Teams get nothing out of him in the air and he reads the game surprisingly well too. Huge respect to him for playing 3 games in a week to that level with his injury troubles. Thank you, Frazer! First half was awful, absolutely awful. Fraz gave Michael O'Halloran such a bollocking for his part in their goal I thought his head was going to explode. O'Halloran is his own worst enemy and beyond frustrating to watch. I was happy to see him get his goals and he played well by and large after that incident. Thought Miller and McDonald took better control of the midfield than I've seen from any central midfield pairing this season so far. At times we were a bit overrun but Motherwell have pace and that has always been a killer for us, even last season we found it difficult against teams with pace. Overall I'm happy with tonight. The players fought so hard for that, epitomised by Brian Graham almost killing himself to chase down a ball near the end and he won it! It was inspiring to watch them FINALLY fight for their place in this division. Onwards and upwards guys.

  2. I managed to watch the game live over here. 'Nice to see the boys win. By the way, I had a birthday the other day and was most pleasantly surprised to receive a birthday card fromSJFC. It had been signed by all the players, so I was well pleased. I think my daughter must have 'phoned and pestered the office! Thanks, Saints.

  4. You were lucky. We lived for three months in a brown paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six o'clock in the morning, clean the bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down mill for fourteen hours a day week in-week out. When we got home, out Dad would thrash us to sleep with his belt!

    Yes Or Naw?

Half a million???? ROFL What kind of mad Dundonian arithmetic is this? That's the funniest thing you've posted yet. Well done. The difference between the two votes was exactly 383,937. Assuming the voter turnout remained identical, 191,969 switching sides would tip the balance in favour of Yes (by 1 vote). That's a whole 308,031 less than half a million and definitely achievable, although we obviously want a far greater winning margin to put the result beyond all doubt, i.e. way beyond 55% for starters. The Unionists have also shat in their own nest by revealing their hand in admitting that we aren't really as "better together" as they'd made out, and that the scaremongering was bullshit. The Union one way or another is finished, and we will terminate it a time of our choosing. Nothing, least of all the Union, lasts forever.

    Yes Or Naw?

You wish. The genie is out of the bottle and it isn't going back. Murphy's almost certain appointment as leader of, and the ongoing implosion of, the Labour Party (Scottish Branch) will only speed up the process. Unionists don't want another referendum ever simply because all their scaremongering has been shown up in public to be the crock of shit that Yessers knew it was. A fair percentage of those who voted No on the basis of it are rightly feeling duped. They're now once bitten and won't trust the nawbags again.

  11. Some of his deliveries last night were excellent though, including the cross for Frazer's header and his assist for the first goal.

  12. Two sublime moments of skill worthy of a showing on Soccer Am, in a game devoid of much else, turned this game in our favour. O'Halleron assisted by Croft was very good but watching him walzing through the Motherwell defence was something above sublime! I woke the dog up screaming at the gogglebox.

Couldn't believe it when he fouled a couple of players then nearly got in a fight. Closest he's got to the opposition since he came here. Thought he was completely anonymous in the first half, had only a dozen touches. 2nd half he was much better and competed well and had a chance to score. I agree we seem better when he plays. No idea why though as he touches the ball about 5% as much as Chris Millar. Odd.

  16. The first-half was an absolutely shocking display once again and our equaliser came against the run of play. Motherwell were the better side at that stage, although our counter-attacking goal provided a piece of excellence which we have been gagging for recently. Nice assist by Croft and a calm finish by O'Halloran to make amends for his part in Motherwell's earlier goal. Second half started off very scrappy. The players were struggling on the ball, resorting to backwards passing towards our clumsy defence who would either punt it aimlessly or totally miskick it. Then something happened. The spirit of Halloween took over. Our zombie XI gained energy until they were no longer zombies. They were human beings, fully resurrected from the dead at last, rejuvenated with renewed energy, hunger and vigour. A demon decided to possess Michael O'Halloran, blessing him with the ability of end-product, adding to his previous goal with an even better one. A fantastic solo effort from the lad, although James McFadden has to be given credit for the vital part he played in the build-up. I have to say that I thought he was decent enough tonight and he'll only improve with more matches. Other shout-outs to Chris Millar and Gary McDonald, the latter transforming from a ghost into a living, breathing, tough-tackling entity. Of course, we were playing a team who are really struggling and we were hardly convincing overall, but that period of sustained pressure in the second-half has given me hope that there is a foundation to build upon here. The lack of options on the bench is a worry though. Anyway, I'm very relieved to get the 3 points and there's no reason we can't build on this with a win in Dundee next week.

Agree. If there are no injuries he has to start with that team. If we showed as much fight in other games this season or on tuesday as we did in second half we would be winning more than we lose.

  18. Let's just say we come 10th this season, avoiding relegation whilst at the same time paying for all these required improvements..... Then next season we add a bit more quality/few more faces in the squad and improve..... Would some be willing to call it a good business gamble?

  19. Midge for me. He broke up their midfield almost single handed & was the only player comfortable with the ball.

  20. Thought he had a good game & when/if he gets fit will bring a lot to the team. He got a standing ovasion from both sets of fans when he almost crawled off the park.

  21. By any chance are we mucking about with it at the back for a while then either gifting possession away or humping it forward and gifting possession away that way?

  22. Right that video has boiled my piss, if that is us training no wonder we are shite, And I will blow my own trumpet here, when I was Lee Crofts age I had 3 kids, worked 40 hours a week, and if I could work, a Saturday morning, and if my luck was in got a Sunday shift as well, In the Spring, Late Summer we would play football, Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, I would also play Sunday Fives at night and even trained with Junior teams in between, ( Me and my wife of 32years do get on by the way). That video of saints supposedly training says it all, jogging about, chatting, smiling, When I trained you sucked every bit of oxygen you could get into your lungs when you stopped for a rest, if Croft has to pull at his shorts as they are uncomfortable when training like that, our "Ba rash was agony but it was caused by hard training and sweat not ****ing posing around for a ****ing video camera, I bet Motherwell are pissing themselves at that video, If you had put out a video of Saints being put through the mill, Press ups, sprinting, sweat running out the crack of their erse then they would have thought **** me they mean business, But that is a could not care less attitude. Rant Over. way)
