Pat McGroin
I could ask £10k for it. It doesn't mean anyone is going to buy it. That's been there for years, I can't see it changing hands for anything close to 4 figures, never mind that much.

PauloPerth
I couldn't pay £500 or anything like that but would pay for a pre-ordered book, even if it was months away from publishing, and would imagine quite a few saints fans would do the same. If 1000 folk paid £15 or whatever up front then it's a goer....

If 1000 folk paid £15 or whatever up front then it's a goer.... It is quite common now for authors and musicians to get money up front from readers/fans etc to allow them to write & publish/record & issue new material and in exchange their backers receive early signed copies. garydavidson
I would certainly be up for pre-ordering. Will be well worth it.

Jimmy Wallace
why don't they do a proper crowdfunding scheme, where we can all pledge the amount the book will cost? I'm sure they'd get more than enough folk signing up. california_saintee

rik2304
Doesn't the new "Final Hurdle" book cover these intervening years quite well? Not sure I would be interested in another version. Depends how in depth it goes I suppose.

garydavidson
Brain said to me on twitter they are considering pre orders if they can't raise the finance the route they have mapped out just now. Those crowd surfing sites take a decent cut from most projects.
NeilSJFC
Add me to the list of potential pre orders. Would love a copy, espically if it was decent quality, as most of my original lies in tatters.

Anyone with the ability to write a list and collect money could do crowd funding.
OldPoster
This is something that Kickstarter would be a good website to use, You can take pre orders and several different levels Just imagine is saints hadnt been fined 18,000E then they also could have helped out on this project

garydavidson
"Bristling With Possibilities" is the much-loved official history of St. Johnstone Football Club between the years 1885-1997. Authors Alastair Blair and Brian Doyle are in the process of updating the long since sold out original version which will encompass the 17 years since the book was published- with a particular focus on the historic Scottish Cup Final win back on May 17th. Alastair said: "The intention is to have it ready for Christmas so all the fans who experienced that fantastic day in May can relive it and also discover the fascinating history of the best club in the world." We would encourage any fans interested in buying the updated version of this book to let club historian Brian Doyle know by emailing him here: doylebrian77@icloud.com There is no obligation to buy the book when emailing Brian as it is merely to gauge potential demand once it is published."
