Is the Rodney r whatever it was called shut?. There are several now in the city between large commercial ones and small studios, but there is talk of Live Active shutting facilities. A top level facility would benefit the club, could be used by other local clubs/teams and there would be a draw for Saints fans to take out memberships. Even if it helped cover the costs of running it, then the players would benefit. There seems to be a growing trend nation wide in the fitness industry. I just hope they treat Saints with respect, as GB effectively put his heart and soul into the club and saved us from oblivion. I think appointing CL was good. He is experienced enough to deal with potential American owners. No offence to Macca, but he'd be lost. As for the land? I don't mind an acre or 2 being given up, whether it be a hotel, supermarket or whatever. But it would require major infrastructure works for access etc. I look forward to seeing the investment... Facilities, marketing etc. and pom-pom ladies pre match and half time. Bit of entertainment to wake up the West stand..... I must get myself down to Specsavers. At first I read the last paragraph as porn-porn ladies! Melbourne Saint and pezza70

Live Active Bells Sports Centre down stairs level where the 3 5s courts were is closed due to flooding with no reopening in sight Massive loss to a facility (5s) already in short supply Ironically Live Active closed Rodney down and moved built a new gym at Belle which is part of the closure caused by flooding It's not an easy thing accessing five a side facilities in Perth MySpazz

Gym facilities used by the first team that could also be rented out and profit made from them. Repeated income from renting out space to PTs and the like. A hotel/self-service accomodation that would bound to be busy on match days and well used by people at weddings at the likes of Huntingtower. Upgraded food and bar facilities for pre and post match. Tie in with local food and drink providers for pop-up events, gigs and the like. There is a ton of potential there. Hotel is a winner, Gym not so. But any new owner is not looking at small business opportunities, the land is the attraction

Don’t you worry I believe it may well come out soon officially but I’m hearing murmuring that the bowls in Dewars will be a new gym to replace the one at bells. saintgscot
Why is everyone wanting to move the ground. If we make £750 grand from old firm having three stands and we still make more from funerals. Why move the ground away from where we are making most of our money? blueheaven and MySpazz 1

Northern saint
Perth Porn Saints? Well, there'd certainly be more "faked" than those other fake Saints in the west. May learn how to go down to con the referee. The shirts and shorts could be interesting. Stockings? I'd rather settle for a conscientious owner like Geoff. One who puts the club first. More modern outlook on communications, investments into the ground. I hope this is positive and done quickly so we can move on from what seems limping along. Genuinely curious to know what makes you think everyone wants to move the ground? I've barely seen anyone say they want that. And even if we did, we'd still be able to give the Old Firm three stands at a new ground so that's an odd reason to suggest for staying put. Personally I'd be open to a new ground happening if that was the plan, but what worries me is that it would end up being a major downsizing exercise on all fronts. RandomGuy
A ground moves been spoken about for about 4/5 years due to "rising infrastructure costs", and by all accounts the Browns were looking at new sites throughout that time. It wouldnt be a shock if theyve suggested to the new owners they should be planning to move grounds within the next decade. Occasionally have a walk along the lade and amazed that the old marshalling yard has not been developed. Don't think it would be appropriate for housing but I think it would be ideal for a stadium. Within walking distance of most of the town. Don't think they would get planning due to all the traffic having to enter from Tulloch road . Could do a ground share with Kinnoull , they might have a decent groundsman.

Cleveland-Saint
Any talk of a new stadium that comes from this to me means the deal could be more investment/land development versus someone with true football aspirations. Hope I'm wrong, and also hope we learn more soon, so we can all get sleuthing 😬
