I find it interesting the comparisons between Football contracts and 'real-life'. Many are saying that McCoist is entitled to work his notice period and take the £750,000 and of course that's legally correct. However, the difference between regular jobs and Football is that we maintain this pretence of loyalty and love for Football clubs that doesn't existing within regular employment. If everyone forgot for a minute about Ally McCoist's supposed love for Rangers Football club and discarded the myth that he's some kind of super-human legend who cares more about Rangers than himself we could all get down to the reality that he, like most other people, are motivated by money. Then, just maybe then, we could accept this ludicrous scenario for what it is - a botched business deal and an employee seeking to make as much money he physically can. However, if McCoist keeps up the pretence that he's a Rangers man first and foremost and money is not important then we are all entitled to mock him for all he's worth!

MoH was wrong to try and claim the right to take it, but he won it, he is was on a scoring streak, he's young and hungry and clearly wants to succeed at Saints. He was told no, and he accepted it. He then celebrated the goal with the others. What's the problem?

  3. The owner of the Corrina needs to get a grip! He is in the wrong industry if he can't accept some harmless criticism. Let's be honest, the Corrina is a dive and although it may not be now, for years the clientele who frequented that place could be classed as less than desirable.

  4. More likely you'll get a well reasoned argument for which you'll have no clear answer to and will continue to spout your bile. I notice while youre happy to start a thread on a muslim "nutter" who kills people, you happily avoid an equally tragic situationon the same day where a christian "nutter" kills 6 in the US. How long before we have this on our streets again?!?

So what will happen to McCoist now? He's been proven to be a horrendous coach/manager, so no one will employ him. He could try media, but there is no chance the BBC would employ him again due to his and Sevco's utter fuddery over not speaking to the bbc. Stv have no coverage in scotland and given sky and bt cover Celtic for half of the time, he'll not get that gig. It's a shame, because as a player and up until he became a coach/manager at rangers, I quite liked him. Not he comes over as a total Cnut like the rest of him. 'Bomber' brown, Walter Smith, Hateley et al should be never heard from in public again, all either numpties or complicit in the shenanigans that went on. I cringe ever time you tune into sportsound and they all se like old pals and like we should all be fearful over rangers 2's demise!

  6. Holy **** what a load of pish this is ! Brian Graham took and scored the last penalty , we won another so he was quite right to be in line to take the next . Tommy has said in the past he is ok about penalties being taken by the player who scored the last , until he misses . This thread cries "i've got badges so i know the way it should be ! " Well you feckin well don't and you obviously don't know what the players have been told . Knickerwetters !

Haven't heard Mr.Tonev speak, but apparently he lost his appeal due to the fact he was hesitant in his speech at the appeal and therefore the decision was reached that he was lying. I've heard it all now. Perhaps his oral English isn't all that good? Ain't defending the guy in any way, just find the reason for reaching the decision baffling.

  9. I think in this instance he may have been a nutter who was a muslim tbh. There are around 1.6 billion muslims in the world. I would argue that there is a very small radical minority. Put it this way. Were all Germans Nazi's? Were all Irish people in the IRA? Are all Basques in ETA?

    Brian Graham

BG and M O'H squabble? "Michael must have forgotten that Brian was on penalties"" "Normally I remind everyone who is the penalty taker, but it was sod's law that I forgot at the weekend!" TW man enough to admit his small mistake . Well, that should clear that one up to everyone's satisfaction .

  13. Fair enough....I was talking I guess about the majority. Still, one throwaway post, from someone who doesn't even live in the country, nevermind Perth, hardly warrants the owners reaction

  15. As far as I can see, all the negative comments relating to the Corinna were clearly stated to be in regards to years ago, a fact that the posters made sure they articulated. Many people stated FACTS, my only experience of the Corinna was well over 20 years ago, when my mate was hit over the head with a cue because he beat a guy at pool. I am not saying that that would happen if we went in tomorrow. I'm sorry, the owners reaction to this is nothing short of pathetic. If anything, it was a chance for them to further enhance what sounds like a growing positive opinion of their establishment. It would have been easy for them to recognise that the venue had concerns in the past, but show that that is no longer the case. The content of the Facebook post smacks of self righteousness and is clearly a case of cutting of your own nose etc etc As a previous poster said, the ability to deal with criticism in a constructive and appropriate manner is a key skill for running any business...throwing toys out the pram isn't

    Yes Or Naw?

Im sure the Welsh/Yorkshire mining communites with their historically short life expectancies, think scotland are subsidising their pensions! They have a similar socioeconomic breakdown and suffer exactly the same problems as some regions of scotland. Check the stats between the coalfields of wales and those of say fife, or the shipyards of tynesides and those of clydeside. Theres little difference. Given the political status quo, the poor shall always poor. Of course the poorest contribute the most, HTF to do think the richest stay in power?!?

  21. I have not been well so bit late in posting this Just like to say a big thank you for all the "Tink" ect comments.Good job folks, Thanks very much! Any chance of a re think are well and truly screwed . This as a copy from Derek's Facebook page Makes us look really bad, so thanks again. Very recently I was delighted to have had several very good meetings with the Barossa Street Saints Club Committee, at their request, to discuss a potential move round the corner to my bar and music venue the Corinna. I hasten to say this was all at their request and after placing a very, very good package on the table which was both monetary and of an incentive nature the committee decided to stay at the Barossa Club which I fully respected and thanked them for their time and consideration. My team and I at Corinna conducted ourselves with respect and kindness which cannot be said for those shown on this attachment commenting on my establishment as "a hovel" and "for tinks". My great staff and I neither sought or deserve such treatment for simply trying, when asked, to assist the committee to make sure the club had a home for future. Such rhetoric is simply not acceptable to me hence the offer I made the Barossa Street Committee and the subsequent club is retracted with immediate effect and will not be tabled again in future. This development disappoints me but I will not have my establishment spoken of in such a manner. Regards Derek Petterson Garry McConnell There only one arena and that's the ****ing corrina! Looked like a pen to me. Brilliant that MOH fought for the kick. Great captain work by Dave - obviously graham is the designated taker. Great penalty. Fantastic for Tommy that his strikers are that hungry. All very satisfactory and a bit odd trying to find negatives. Christ, a few weeks ago it was all doom and gloom on here - can folk no just enjoy the good times!

  25. I apologise if you failed to understand my post, I was having a sarcastic dig at the old firm obsessed west coast based media organisations. My thinking being that they would rather follow a 2nd string rangers to the Highlands or celtic to Ireland than cover a "feel good " story about a friendship that has built up over the years between 2 clubs from differing backgrounds.
