Gordon Drummonds Perm
Alan Shearer doesn't have a club at the moment.
Saintdunc
I was just thinking that. I'm managing Bradford in Football Manager at the moment, and Hanson has scored a couple of decent goals during pre-season. I think he could do a job at Saints. His old sidekick is Nahki Wells currently strutting his stuff at HTFC.
Pat McGroin
Mmmbop. I think we' pick up someone right at the end of the window. Someone who realises they aren't going to get a game. There will be a flurry of players released near the end of the window also
will_dewar
James McFadden just on SkySports saying he's looking for a club after being released by Motherwell..... Could he do a job in our squad?
St Mikey
Was thinking that but is he still a 90 minute player? Certainly has the skills but wonder what his fitness levels are. Thought we were hoping to sign someone by the end of the week??
Kyle
If we're looking for an experienced forward, then McFadden looks like a good ticket to me. We might look like Motherwell circa 2004, but McFadden and Pearson are both available.
will_dewar
worth maybe a 1 year contract with option of another 1 year depending on appearances.....
Jimmy Wallace
Motherwell released him because of his exorbitant wages. Can't see Saints being interested.
will_dewar
If he wants to play football then maybe after speaking to Tommy he would maybe drop his wage demands and jump back to reality.
will_dewar
If he wants to play football then maybe after speaking to Tommy he would maybe drop his wage demands and jump back to reality. And if you don't ask you don't get.
Kyle
Motherwell released him because of his exorbitant wages. Can't see Saints being interested. Indeed. However, he's hardly been inundated with offers. I see he's been training with Thistle over the summer. Not sure if they've offered him anything or not. I see Rory Fallon is available. He's experienced with the added bonus of being cheap.
belfastsaintee
I see Rory Fallon is available. PauloPerth
James McFadden just on SkySports saying he's looking for a club after being released by Motherwell..... Could he do a job in our squad? Uncanny you say that, was just thinking about him today. If the wages were reasonable I would definitely have faddy. Wouldn't start every game maybe but definitely an impact player from the bench, similar to what hasslebank became in the last few months of last season. Could be on a pay as you play basis? Would also like to see Stephen Pearson on trial; a good left sided player, though not seen him for a few years.

andy rhodes fancy watch
****in hell did any of you people see McFadden play for Motherwell last season ? He's lost whatever he had . Pearson would be a better signing than Liam Craig would have been and he has a house in the area .
RandomGuy
Yeah McFaddens a no from me, we need consistent players since we have such a small squad and he's incredibly inconsistent. Not what we need nor good enough for what he'd want. Wouldn't mind Pearson, but thats based purely on name as I've not seen him in a long time to know what level hes at
dave mc
I saw Faddy pick the ball up 40 yards out, beat 2 or 3 players and score with his weak foot in the 4-0 game at Fir Park,if that's what you're on about stanley saint and lethamsaintee
babychunder
That goal wis a beauty, me and the bairn actually stood up and applauded it, got stick from the Saintees around us. If he's reasonable on wages, if he's fit, if he's up for playing for us, if he's no injured....them mibbe just mibbe.
