Depending on date of rescheduled game, Ash Taylor could be available to face Saints.

Hopefully rearranged for midweek then but I doubt it.

Think European games to be played in UK are postponed this week so no way will Scottish games played this midweek.

Government say there is no obligation to postpone games this weekend but would expect sport to be postponed on the day of the funeral. English test match back on tomorrow after being postponed today.

They and the club's have passed on their condolences and shown their respect. How many millions will be disappointed and it will not do anything to make her friends and family feel any better.

I think football (in general) has got this all wrong. Kids football up to professional all postponed but most other sports keeping their schedule and marking respect. Feels like they’ve jumped too quickly and rushed a decision here.

Dude, this won't happen again. This was our longest reigning monarch. Let's just chill for a few days, then go back to the football.

We could easily have a President or Chancellor - they will be no different to the Queen and Royal family, and for sure won't last 70 years.

We have this weird, undemocratic, yet functioning head of state role.

Cancelling the football is a small mark of respect... go and visit that family member you haven't seen in a while.

Kids football in Scotland was not postponed and was played as normal with players and spectators being asked to observe either a minutes silence or a minutes applause. And the kids from as young as 5 and 6 were impeccable in their minutes silence at Broadwood.

A lot of football scheduled for this week and not cancelled yet so why can't Saturdays games be played on Wednesday. Apart from Rangers , Celtic and Hearts of course.

don't know if it would be down to organisational issues and police wise there are lots being re-deployed to Edinburgh and London for the weekend. Think that is why the Rangers game has been put back 24 hours.  Think there is a full EFL fixture card this midweek. Assume the stewarding companies will also be involved in activities in Edinburgh aswell.

Indeed, police from Glasgow have been shunted through to Edinburgh to show a 'presence' but not actually have anything to do.

That must have been regionalised then as the SYFA had all the Dundee, Fife and Perth Scottish up ties called off.

SYFA never cancelled any leagues that must have been a local decision. SYFA sent out a message to all club on Friday 9th advising that the games should go ahead with a minutes applause or silence as decided by the cubs, they sent a holding message on Thursday advising leagues they would make an announcement on the Friday. copied the email below

Good afternoon,

This email has been issued to all team, club and league secretaries.

In sharing deepest condolences with the Royal Family, youth teams are being encouraged to mark the Queen’s death with a respectful minute’s applause or silence ahead of their fixtures this weekend as a sign of respect.

In recognition of the important social and health benefits for young people that football brings, SYFA and SWF have confirmed that youth fixtures will proceed this weekend, but in the context of national mourning, teams are being encouraged to pay respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, who passed away yesterday.

Teams should liaise with their opponents and referee ahead of the game to ensure that the arrangements are coordinated and carried out with the utmost respect for each other and for everyone mourning the passing of the Queen.

Kind regards,

SYFA
