Do you think Max and Ferguson might get used this term . Maybe too soon for Fergie .

I think Max will but personally I'm not even sure what his position is. Falkirk seemed to use him as central midfielder but in his few appearances for Callum he looked like more of a wide attacker.

I reckon we'll try to send Fergie back out on loan, but to a higher level.

My guess is Callum played him out of position.

Stole from @Kyle via P&B:

Goalkeepers

Ross Sinclair - 2024

Jack Wills - 2024

Defenders/wing backs

Ryan McGowan - 2024

Liam Gordon - 2024

Andy Considine- 2024

Callum Booth - 2024

Tony Gallacher - 2024

Midfielders/wingers

Drey Wright - 2024

Max Kucheriavyi - 2025

Daniel Phillips - 2024

Cammy McPherson - 2024

Ali Crawford -2024

Cammy Ballantyne - 2024

Alex Ferguson - 2025

Graham Carey - 2024

Attackers

Stevie May - 2025

Nicky Clark - 2025

Theo Bair - 2024 - available for transfer

Taylor Steven - 2024

I think we need squad of 22 supplemented by a few kids as with 5 subs from 9 I think we can afford to have 3 kids on the bench. So 5 or 6 new signings required.

Major headache for next season is only a couple signed beyond 2014

Tony Doc not hanging about. Now signed Reilly , high scorer in shit team. Also re_ signed half the original team including Cammy Kerr , so at least he won't be joining us.

Easy to do when he has his whole player budget at his disposal because the previous manager did not sign ageing players on long contracts.

Ah but did Callum play players in their correct position. Not all the time

Think he signed before Docherty was manager. Just announcing now. Pretty sure he signed a pre contract.

The Dundee announcement mentions he'd already been training with them for the past season, because he was only part-time with Albion Rovers. Interesting way of doing things. Would they have been paying him for that?

So from our squad heading into the new season right now, how many are still long term injuries who won’t be ready for the new season?

Booth and Clark were the only ones still injured at the end of the season. Assuming Clark will be fine by the time things start up again but no idea what Booth's latest is.

Last i read was Booth was seeing a specialist at the start of May, and was likely to have to have another operation.

Was expecting to be back training before the league season though.

Not sure he got much game time under McInness at Aberdeen but that may have been due to injury.

He missed a lot of games at Aberdeen with a back problem but I'm not sure if that was what was keeping him out latterly. Seemed like he never quite managed to get back into favour, or perhaps he just never fully got his sharpness back?

If he's still capable of being the player he was for us previously then I'd love to have him back here.

It's possible that Kane only wants six months and the club wants longer. He might want an opportunity to put himself in the window for a better paid deal elsewhere and doesn't want to commit to the season. In that situation, it would make sense for the club to not publicise that he's available on a free in January.

I struggle to see Kane getting a better deal elsewhere - not that I know anything about the financial details on his contract - because I think he does a fantastic job for Saints but is totally underrated - so I just dont think that he is likely to be on another team's radar. I could see him drop a division in order to get more playing time. Will be interesting to see what Macca does when May, Clark and Kane are all fit.
