the most comfortable derby win i can remember , well apart from 1/1/97

not that sportscene would make you think that according to steven thopmson n scot mcdonald we would have been lucky to get a point

not so sure about that. was certainly squeaky bum time for the last 5 minutes for me. Saints seem to run out of ideas when they get near the box. When they play football they look damn good, but they only seem to do that for 20 mins in the 2nd half (from last three games I've watched). More of that and they can take on anyone.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this game yesterday. Saints can be such a good unit when they get it together. Dundee were not great but are definitely in a false position. There confidence dropped off with every minute the game went on. I think the near open goal miss from Teijsis was a game turner. Though if that had went in, a completely different game would have ensued. Swanson was on a different planet form the other 21 players. What really pleased me was the performance of Foster. A very mature player. Very solid in defence and as they game went on the more attack minded he came. His crossing was far superior to Craig, Spoony or Easton. If Muzz could just keep his balance as he barges his way to the goal he might just score a few more. Craig, Spoony and Macca just about put in pass marks. Kano's performance has split the forum's opinion for this match. I agree with those that think his harrying of defenders and general nuisance is spot on BUT its not enough if he doesn't get more goals. Two last comments, the Ando implosion for their penalty..what the fvck !!!! And Coulson looked well up for it when he came on and unlucky with the header from the chip from our MoM.

Yes Kano splits opinion but how anyone can come on this site after yesterday and praise spoony and criticise Kano beggars belief. From the first minute to the last spoony was off the pace, his tackling was nonexisting, his crossing was shockingly bad and at know time did he attempt to beat his man. Yes everyone has opinions but let's make them about the game we were watching.

Two years plus and we are still waiting for that "bit more".

It's bloody frustrating. There is player there but very rarely shows.

Don't know it it is lack of confidence or too much.

Certainly lacks pace for a wide player & moves into midfield too often to play that position.

9 goals and numerous assists last season.  He wasn't at his best on Sunday certainly but he has contributed hugely to Saints success in recent seasons. The above posts are both inaccurate and unfair.

Having been capped at under 18, 19 and under 21 for Scotland Wotherspoon has still to progress and with a return total of 12 goals from around 120 appearances can still provide more.

He undoubtedly has skill and age on his side, and comparing him to Liam Craig who has provided around 50 goals in just over double the amount of appearances, I believe Spoony even with his assists should still be contributing more.

He is a local lad and Saints fan, and certainly has provided more for Saints than with his previous club so at the moment that's good enough for me. I wouldn't put Chris Millar and prolific goal scorer together, but cannot underestimate what Millar has done for us let's hope Wotherspoon can at least provide the same.

On Sportscene Stephen Thompson stated that it would have been a great 2nd goal when discussing Coulson's header which came off the crossbar.....sorry maybe I missed something, but at that stage Saints were already 2 goals up and had Coulson scored it would then have been 3 nil!

Sportscene coverage never even mentioned the penalty shout in first half when MacLean was tripped by Dundee's Holt who had already been booked and may have received a second yellow. This incident was deemed controversial enough to be examined at halftime by BT Sport, but wasn't even considered worthy of reporting on BBC's coverage.

I watched the later recording of Sportscene, so cannot say if that is different from 6 o'clock and the discussion centred around the penalty given for push on MacLean and the push made by Anderson to give Dundee their penalty pretty sure not much if anything was discussed regarding the trip on MacLean by Holt, but stand corrected if I'm wrong!  BT Sport's coverage examined this during their halftime discussion and cannot understand why BBC coverage didn't think it was worthy of a similar coverage that was my point.

Just had another look there - they didn't highlight it post match, but did show a replay during the game and the commentator questioned whether it should have been a penalty.

I see the police have been making stupid decisions again - https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/local/perth-kinross/305679/st-johnstone-officials-clash-with-police-over-matchday-traffic-changes/

As someone who doesn't live in Perth I always used the "away" car park so I could get a fast exit back to Glasgow. It will be painful trying to get out of the two gates with all the away fans as well. I can only imagine how much money Saints would lose from closing the car park.

it's a nightmare getting out of McD car park even at poorly attended games when only the top two gates are open.  Over the past couple of seasons the slip road gate has been closed for visits of "smaller" clubs where it had generally always been open in the past.  I must admit I had thought this was down to Saints saving money by not paying the police but maybe it's a police decision.  Anyone have any further info?

Steward was speaking to some one when I parked up and parked facing for heading out side gate. When I walked past the Steward I asked if we were going out side exit to be told no, police policy.

After the last game I had been at and time taken to get out, I went into Muirton suite and ended up watching first half of Bet Fred Semi, Mcdiarmid was pretty much clear by then, but when turned up Newhouse Road this was still queued back coming down to the roundabout.

Not great as I take in an elderly person with walking difficulties, and with the drink driving laws I cannae even have a pint nowadays!

Saints are fighting this and the threat to close the car park for the Rangers game  will have the Police on the back foot. It's the cops call but Saints are well within their rights to shut the car park and then Police Scotland will suddenly have to find somewhere to park 50 plus coaches and  then have to find the manpower ( at their own cost I would hope) to escort the Sevco hoardes onto the grounds of McD.. ..  Police Scotland couldnae run a phucking raffle....

Would be great if Saints stated that they intended to close the car park to see what the Police Scotland reaction would be.

Alternatively Saints could allow folk who have paid for their parking along with their season ticket (permit holders ) access to the cark park, but refuse others on Health and Safety grounds.

Feel this has a bit more to run.

Waiting for the next installment.
