HOODLUM65
There are a couple of games before this one but felt it was worth highlighting that the club are seemingly trying to keep up momentum on the promotion front. http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/news/post/club-mark-anniversary-saints-day "Birthdays come but once a year and for St. Johnstone we celebrate our 132nd anniversary this month on Friday 24th February. The following day we're at home to Kilmarnock in another crucial match in our ambitions to finish in the top half of the table and to potentially qualify for Europe. To mark our anniversary we're going to have a 'Saints Day' for that match on the 25th February, a day for fans to remember and celebrate the club's 132-year history. We'll have blue and white balloons and bunting around the ground and will once again have facepainters for our younger supporters pre-match. In the build up to the game next week we'll have a number of interviews lined up with iconic former and present players featuring on the YouTube channel and on the website. Keep an eye on the website and social media for more announcements relating to this match in the coming days..." In another 'good news' promotion story Joe did a school visit recently to talk bout balancing his maths degree and playing football - http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/news/post/saints-message-adds16217 Happy birthday to the Saints. On this date 50 years ago in front of a crowd of 3.500 at Muirton Park Saints recorded a 2-1 victory over Falkirk ( in the old Div.1 ) Saints lineup that day was Donaldson. McCarry. Coburn. Townsend. Rooney. McPhee. Clark. Whitelaw. Kilgannon. Duffy. Aitken. The previous week was to be Manager Bobby Brown's last game in charge. A similar scoreline against Killie would be a good birthday present. HALLS ANGEL
The Falkirk match 50 years ago was quite a significant in our history as it was Fred Aitkens' debut and sadly John Kilgannons' last game. John Kilgannon was killed in a car crash the next day. Kilgour, AthensSaint and HOODLUM65
Dave H
Automatic team selection of our fit players. I will bring my boots if I'm required as sub. Me expectations and optimism are high again, which usually means we don't get the result aka Dundee away where most were licking their lips ahead of the new year celebrations only to be smacked in the chops with a poor performance. The weather is going to play a major part, a bit blowy out there on the pitch, this ain't going to be pretty. 1.0 Saints. Scorer Anderson. I'm hoping all this TW controversy doesn't hinder us today. Cagerf
I must admit I fear the worst but to be a Saints support you have to be optomistic. i know we can win the next 2 games all sensible supporters know we ca win both games we just need the team to perform at there best. as said earlier I believe after last week Kane can come into his own if we play to his strengths. Ball at his feet not in the air. COYS
ex-montrosesaintee
We usually win the impossible game and then lose against a bottom of the league club when we have the chance to capitalise. Other way round this time. Beat the smaller team and set up a winner goes 3rd battle with the the. Believe.

Dave H
BBC sports page has it. "I don't think there's anybody in a job or out of a job that wouldn't want to take that call," "Yeah, I would speak because it's a big club but it's all hypothetical. "That call hasn't happened as from other clubs it hasn't happened so I'm still happy here." ***** Ohhh... What an arse! Imagine any of our players saying this to the media About any speculation .. Brown needs to boot his arse!! I can't believe he would tell the media he is open to offers, what's your employer going to think? Possibly tighten the purse strings...? What are the fans going to think!! Only a European place league position will be an acceptable apology to fit the crime.. R.B.B:- Adz
Certainly the weakest bench we have had to field this season and I struggle to see any impact coming from there if the game isn't going our way. That said, we are still fielding a starting 11 capable of beating Kilmarnock at McDiarmid Park..
