garydavidson
http://spfl.co.uk/news/article/league-cup-semi-final-prices-announced/ The SPFL has announced ticket prices for the 2013/14 Scottish League Cup semi-finals in February – at £20 for adults, £10 for under-16s and £5 for under-12s. Aberdeen and St Johnstone contest the first semi-final at Tynecastle Stadium on Saturday February 1 at 3pm, while Heart of Midlothian v Inverness Caledonian Thistle is at Easter Road Stadium the following day, live on BBC Scotland with a 12.15pm kick-off. More than 37,000 tickets are available across both games with the special concessionary rates of £10 for under-16s and £5 for under-12s agreed to maximise affordability and value for supporters, in particular families, of all competing teams. Initial allocations and stadium splits have also been confirmed for the fans of all four clubs attending the national cup competition semi-finals which take place in early February 2014. Initial ticket allocations are as follows*: • Aberdeen: Main Stand South, Wheatfield Stand and Gorgie Stand; Tynecastle Stadium • St Johnstone: Roseburn Stand; Tynecastle Stadium • Heart of Midlothian: West Stand Upper & Lower, East Stand, South Stand Lower and Famous Five Stand Lower; Easter Road Stadium • Inverness Caledonian Thistle: West Stand Upper & Lower; Easter Road Stadium SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster said: "We are very pleased that, in conjunction with all four clubs, we can announce Scottish League Cup semi-final ticket prices of £20 for adults, £10 for under-16s and £5 for under-12s. "The SPFL believes that this is very competitive pricing for national cup semi-finals and takes into account the time of year and the economic challenges facing many supporters. "In addition, the initial allocations announced today have taken on board supporter feedback from previous seasons and they also follow consultation with all four clubs. "Last year's Scottish League Cup semi-finals produced two memorable ties and, with upwards of 37,000 tickets available, we look forward to more of the same in February in front of two big crowds and the fantastic atmospheres they will help generate." The Scottish League Cup has been won by three different teams in the past three seasons with St Mirren’s inaugural victory in March 2013 following Kilmarnock’s first ever triumph 12 months previously and Rangers’ win the year before. The 2013/14 competition will see a fourth different winner for the fourth successive season. At the final on Sunday 16 March, 2014, Aberdeen will be looking to pick up the trophy for the first time since 1995 and Heart of Midlothian since 1962 while both St Johnstone – beaten finalists twice – and Inverness Caledonian Thistle have yet to win the competition. garydavidson
I can only guess "* Ticket allocations may increase depending on demand." means there are seats that are being held back depending on who sells their allocation first. Saint.Justin
Need a ticket here, im assuming it will be vouchers...? so we are getting 5000 roughly? Edited November 22, 2013 by Saint.Justin
Honest Saints Fan
5000 IMO is more than enough. A ticket for every season ticket holder. Voucher scheme at our home games, one voucher per person to purchase a ticket and then general sale of anything that is left. Fantastic prices too. HOODLUM65
Great prices, although no O.A.P. prices. Discrimination at it's best. What's that website/email for Dung-caster? Regarding coach travel, may I draw your attention to Ancient's post on Barossa St. forum. Cheers. C.O.Y.S.
Jiangsu Sainty
Great prices, although no O.A.P. prices. Discrimination at it's best. Actually not having OAP prices is the polar opposite of discrimination. That doesn't make it a good thing though dave mc

The same people also would have witnessed Graham Barratt hit the target eventually. I didn't know he retired a year later after a season with Shamrock Rovers where he scored 1 in 21 games! Radford 72
Are Saints going to be able to have a general sale? If Aberdeen tickets go on sale on a week on Monday and sell out straight away (as is likely), how can Saints then open up their sales for everyone? You'll end up with Aberdeen fans buying tickets in our end, as many are threatening to do anyway. Clearly vouchers aren't an option for the Aberdeen game either. I'd also hope that if Aberdeen sell out their section before our sale has even got going, they aren't automatically given the rest of the Main Stand, as I'd think for a Saturday match at 3:00pm, we could fill more than that stand behind the goal. Considering they were the club that pushed for 50/50 allocations involving the Old Firm, it'd be hypocritical if they are trying to squeeze over 13,000 tickets for themselves here, leaving us just short of 4,000. RandomGuy
Those that saw Stevie May score his first goal for Saints should be guaranteed a ticket as well. It was a beltier aswell! I went to the match as I missed the Morton game before it. A midweek tie against Airdrie with only half a stand seemingly open does struggle to live up to a Championship lifting match in a packed McDiarmid, but Mays goal made up for it slightly For what its worth I have relations in the Ticket office. So I should get a ticket regardless. Just a shame they've still not given out any details
Plastered
Anyone who spent a fortune going to Trondheim should be high on the priority list for tickets. Maryburghsaint

Center Half
Lets get the tickets on sale and see what we sell, then worry about how much more we need. If 3500 tickets are available that just now is roughly 1000 more than bothers to turn up for our home league games on a regular basis. Agree get the vouchers out for the next 5 home games, tickets go to voucher holders in a decending order. if a Dons fan is prepared to go to 3 or 4 saints matches to get enough vouchers for a ticket, then they would have seen saints more than many of the so called saints fans who would need to go to get us 3500. angus-saint253 and Oldermoresensiblepack
Oldermoresensiblepack
Maybe some on here think tickets will be allocated on the basis of how many posts they make defending the good name of SJFC and slating the people who do actually go to the games. I mean how many will be there at the game today? The club have had to close 2 stands as we can't get enough people in. And yet we have people asking for 10k + tickets for another cup game (the mickey mouse cup at that ). Glory hunters the lot of them.

blueheaven
It baffles me that Saints still don't have a proper supporters membership scheme for occasions like this one. Build up a database, let fans by match tickets online, and keep track of who the people are who are coming to matches. It'd be far better than the outdated voucher system. That said, surely there will be more than enough tickets for every Saints fan who wants one? Scobby_SJFC and garydavidson
PerthSeany
Why haven't the club at least mentioned their intentions for this one. Aberdeen were very quick. We should of Capitalised on the excitement of the wins and the draw etc. Advertise when we're gonna sell tickets to get people excited to buy them!.
