Judging by the stats (not always the best way to do it) I feared the worst as the game went on.

Those second half subs look strange....perhaps there is some logic to them as I am not there...but looks like we took Benji off to try and see out the game and just put ourselves under more pressure by doing so.

Gordon, doing Gordon things. Might be soft etc, but if he did raise his hands then he is giving the ref the opportunity and giving the people running VAR just what they want, an excuse to get involved in the game.

Once they got they scored the pen, no surprise they went onto win the game. Some of CLs in game decision making is as baffling as his predecessors.

Terrible subs by Levein.Had us sitting deeper and invited trouble.Sidieh was dead on his feet for the last 30mins.Kim should have been left on with Clark coming on for Sidieh

Par for the course for Mr Negative.

Dundee dominated and deserved to win according to BBC.

It’s easy to see why Dundee have scored plenty more goals than us this season.  Owen Beck had more touches in our box in that first half than all our wing backs combined THIS SEASON in the oppositions box.

Olufunwa was so far out his depth it was cringey and il not be overly fussed to see Robinson head back to Wigan.  He is another guilty of being a complete shitebag and playing the ball back instead of sticking a ball in the box.  Good to see Carey tearing him about it.

And cheers for the absolute chaos subs Craig too 👎

Better team by a country mile won. Gormless Gordon really is a liability, how stupid do you have to be to keep giving away these penalties, he can’t help have his hands all over opponents and his tackle on Melon at the end was horrendous, hope the guy is ok.

Another week watching backwards passes, it’s so so so boring being a St Johnstone fan.

Defenders as wing backs doesn't work especially ones that prefer to go back than forward.  Would like to see Fran at RWB but not sure who on the left but would rather see Gallagher than Robinson who should not have come back especially as we thought he wasn't.

Thought we did well in the first half but rode our luck a wee bit. Pitch seemed to be a problem for us as well  was fairly fast-moving and we struggled/overhit passes.

2nd half started ok - Adamas overhead effort and Considine hitting the bar.  I had no problem with CL taking Benji off if he was tiring but he should have put on an out and out striker instead of one of Max/Connor. Our shape after that caused us all sorts of problems and we sat too deep - Robinson needed to get forward more.

Havent seen the pen back but while we can all complain about how soft these are until we get more streetwise in the box - both defensively cutting out the Gordon-type challenges or up front being a bit more aggressive in forcing defenders to come in on us we're going to suffer at the hands of VAR. Would be good to see the club come out and highlight when VAR isn't favouring us as well a lot more.

2nd goal was a bad one to lose. As for the challenge on Mellon it looked like a 50-50 but David Munro should never referee again after waiving play on with 2 players flat out - the fact the Dundee physio came on while the ball was in play showed how serious it was.

In terms of the team - Matty looked good, Benji and Adama showed in places that they will be effective. Kerr Smith had a decent game but struggled to link with Olufunwa. Thought Keltjens especially though looked a bit lost - both him and Sprangler when he came on seemed to be well off the pace.

Beck wasn’t going forward the whole of the first half to combat our pace . Got the freedom of Dundee second half . Never gonna win football matches giving teams free rein down the flanks . For a guy seemingly so technically minded ( you don’t get the Scotland job for nothing ) Levein looks like it’s his first managerial appointment. Luckily we’re pretty strong behind the scenes now and our first thought is avoid relegation but next season better be whole lot better or even your die hards will stop going .

Outplayed & VAR controversy or not, we got what we deserved today. This is now going to be our third year of decline.

2021/22 Finish second bottom of the league & survive via the play off. We did reach the semi final of the league cup but were knocked out in the fourth rd of the Scottish Cup by lower league club Kelty Hearts

2022/23 Finish fourth bottom of the league. Eliminated from the league cup at the group stage & again knocked out in the fourth rd of the Scottish Cup albeit by Rangers

2023/24 Currently third bottom of the league. Eliminated from the league cup at the group stage again & again knocked out in the fourth rd of the Scottish Cup and again by another lower league club Airdrie

Current league form, 5 wins from 25. So currently we’ve a 20% or 1 in 5 win ratio.

Second lowest goalscorers in the league with 17. Only Livingston have scored less and to be fair ever Saints fan out there hopes that neither they or County improve

Club has been up for sale for what now seems like forever. Is there an end in sight, because it doesn’t look like it. So we’re stuck with owners, who although have done so much for the club, want out

I’ve been a Saintee for over 40 years and will be for the rest of my days and whilst the euphoria of the cup wins will never ever leave us the last few years have been poor.

We need, in my humble opinion, new owners, investment and to introduce a positive style of play that doesn’t involve one up front. Let’s start setting up to win games rather than not to lose.

VAR ruins games, not because it was against us even, I’ve said before, for me it’s the fact nobody knows what’s going on, nothings explained to the people that have paid money to be there, everyone is relying on their phones to try find out what happened.

Ive not seen the penalty back anywhere but hearing it’s pretty soft.

Was suprised VAR didn’t look at challenge on Mellon.

What was going on at half time, we’re there Dundee fans came in our end or were the scuffles going on between Saints fans ?

Heard it was the stewards picking on the young lads and it kicked off
