Andy
I read somewhere it's meant to be more regionalised this year and we would probably get a Scandinavian, Dutch or Belgian side. Can't find the article now so could be rubbish.
Rich77
One round with these chunts in Wales that call themselves "New Saints" ! Cuff them ,............. then Everton. After that when we get through, Panithiniokos. Yeah screw them, they're not even based in Wales...
Saint 62
I read somewhere it's meant to be more regionalised this year and we would probably get a Scandinavian, Dutch or Belgian side. Can't find the article now so could be rubbish. Regional groupings appear to have been the case until 2009. "Although the regulations no longer require the use of regional groups (as used before 2009), UEFA still uses some kind of regionalization in the first qualifying rounds. At first the clubs are divided into seeded and unseeded teams, and then the seeded and unseeded teams are split into regional groups. The general approach seems to use the North/Central/South scheme, but no specific rules are known"
Ali91
Spartak Moscow (Russia) Hapoel Tel Aviv (Israel) CFR Cluj (Romania) Lech Poznan (Poland) Slovan Liberac (Czech Republic) Partizan Belgrade (Serbia) Esbjerg (Denmark) Zulte Waragam (Belgium) Rosenborg (Norway) Elsfborg (Sweden) Omonia Nicosia (Cyprus) Hajduk Split (Croatia) Molde (Norway) Fc Luzern (Switzerland) CSKA Sofia (Bulgaria) Rijeka (Croatia) Groningen (Netherlands) Asteras Tripolis (Greece) Tromso (Norway) Zorya Luhansk (Ukraine) Mlada Boleslav (Czech Republic) Eses (Turkey) AIK Stockholm (Sweden) Litex Lovech (Bulgaria) Baku (Azerbaijan) Ekranes Panevezys (Lithuania) Petrolul (Romania) Vojvodina (Serbia) Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) SV Grodig (Austria) St Polten (Austria) Zestafoni (Georgia) Harfnarjardor (Iceland) Ruch Chorzow (Poland) Goteborg (Sweden) Fk Sarajevo (Bosnia) Zelieznicar Sarajevo (Bosnia) Shakhtar Karagandy (Kazhakstan) Hapoel Beer Sheba (Israel) If all goes to the seeds in the first round those are our possible opponents. Holland, Belgium, Croatia, Austria... Some brilliant trips. Want to avoid all of Eastern Europe if possible. St Polten would combine a good trip and a very winnable tie, they'd be my pick. Templar Saint
plenty of our fans are loaded.the ones that went to norway must be. Not loaded just saved up over the season in anticipation of a European adventure. budget constraints made in other areas to finance this eg amount of bevy throughout the year. It's called prioritising!!
