Totally agree.... that ref (without VAR) would have completely fuked up that match.

appropriate typo :)

Scraped in at the end but deserved the win.  Thought ref didn't have a bad game until the last 20 minutes when he started dishing cards out. Hallberg and Bairs .booking were ridiculous and how Killie didn't see a card for wiping Bair out on  a run beats me.

For Saints thought the midfield was poor. Hallberg looked slow and Carey off the pace. Pluses were the defence with Gordon having his best game in ages and May was excellent.

The positive....we were able to shitfest our way to a win. Last season I doubt we would have been able to do it.

However, for long spells we made Killie look like Barca. Luckily they could hit a barn door and never really threatened. Brown tries on the left but really limits the 'attacking' threat from that side. Montgomery, fit enough for the bench, so why doesn't he start?

Wonder what the pass completion rate for the back three is....seemed they just booted the ball up the park most afternoon without any thought of where the front players were.

Think that yellow suspends Hallberg aswell for next game v Rangers.

Huge 3 points and that's what matters.

No composure on the ball ,poor passing and defence just booting the ball anywhere ,which is understandable in last 10 mins but not all game.

Carey is a class player but needs too much time on the ball and gts caught in possession. Hallberg looks slow and always looks knackered but he puts some shift in. McGowan does what he is there for but our midfield is a problem and Powere dominated us.

May was great and Remi , who the **** is Zander Clark.

He did send off brown unfairly until tech told him otherwise. That would have wrecked the game for us

Was a really poor game today but that's sometimes how it goes. Saints have played so much better and lost so its great to get the points. Thought the ref and East Side linesman made some truly awful decisions and thankfully VAR meant the important ones went our way. Would like to see the replay but it never looked like a sending off. Took about 4 mins for ref to admit he made a mistake. Can't comment on the disallowed goal as I didn't get a good view. Just shows you what bad decisions can do to a game. Some very clear throw ins to Saints were missed completely but we wouldn't have done anything with them anyway. Playing with what looked like a back 8!! Saints failed to keep the ball or even press. Lots of unforced errors that a better team would have capitalised on. Matthews looks comfortable with ball at his feet and when kicking the ball which is a massive positive. The game was crying out for subs long before they were made and not impressed by the refusal to do anything when Saints badly needed to change and get another goal. The thing about VAR is that loads of controversial decisions but Saints will still only get 2 mins on Sportscene. Stevie May was the best player on the park and it shoes how much confidence plays a part in football.

Yeah ref was poor. Some bizarre decisions including the red card. Saints seemed to get booked for every tackle they put in with none for Killie.

McInnes said he didn't think VAR should have been involved in either decision , so why have it. The Aberdeen goal was chalked off by the ref , not var. If hadn't given foul for the challenge on May then surely he would have given one for the goalie getting bundled over the line.

That's 6 or 4 pointß miinimum we have got due to VAR in last 2 games.

I wonder if we would have been in the play offs last season if we had VAR overriding bad refereeing decisions.

Poor game with a couple of poor performances from people that have set higher standards. Hallberg and Mitchell nowhere near usual standards. Thought May was the pick of the bunch.

Thought the game was crying out for Phillips to come on for Hallberg with 10-15 mins to go to shore things up a little, but we managed to hold on.

That said a very important three points and this set of players look much more able to grind out three points compared to our team for last season.

Take the 3pts, especially when we don't play that well. Great shift again from May and Remi very good as usual. The back 3 were solid again, apart from really poor distribution, but we've come to expect that, especially from Gordon. However they are a good unit.

Hallberg and Carey just weren't at the races today. Hallberg looked knackered after 5mins and Carey doesn't look up to speed after the injury.

Felt we sat off Killie too much, but they had no cutting edge or creative spark in the final third. But we did enough. It's a game that (VAR aside) last season we probably would have conceded and squandered 2 points. With the break coming up, there is no reason why we can't take something from each of our 3 remaining games.

Stevie by the proverbial mile.

Thought Bair should have been on earlier to try and at least offer something in the air against their gargantuan back line.

McLennan had his best game for us, thought he was excellent when he came on.

All in all, we rode our luck today. Trying to defend a lead for 87 mins and sitting as deep as we did was asking for bother

Couldn't give a toss if we scraped the three points or not. That was dire yet again. We looked at each other in semi jest when we scored and said '**** it, we've scored early'. We then saw the same game we've seen numerous time under Callum the only difference being VAR was there to save us.

That's it for me. I've given Callum the benefit of the doubt so often but this was the last straw. If we can't play to win and score against that shower then we never will. If all that matters is the result then i'll save a load of time and money by getting on with life and waiting to see the final scores then catch the highlights which obviously won't take long.

And how Napier is a professional referee is still beyond me.

At the beginning of the game our goalie was trying to play the ball out but Killie pressed us making us lose possession forcing us to go long .When their goalie was playing it out we never even had anyone in their half allowing them to play the ball through our non existent midfield making them look half decent.

Hopefully County and United continue to be poor as we don't look like winning too many games the way Davidson sets us up.

Sorry to say this. May went down too early and nobody touched the keeper. Also have to say I think Halberg was booked for trying to kick the ball away and the Killie player tried to stop it.

Huge three points yesterday but it’s been said before, we have a top six squad with a bottom six manager. Awful to watch yesterday, only VAR provided anything near entertainment. Why does he persist with playing Brown out of position? In fact why does he persist with playing him at all? We have Gallagher fit again. The only down side from the red card decision is that JB is available again next week.!
