Melbourne Saint
Good lord. That's pretty much as good as realistically hoped for. McCann back to his usual self, Muzz being the destroyer in midfield. Rooney has in fairness had questions about his defensive side, and he couldn't get into his strength, attacking. But Babel & v.Arnhalt getting subbed showed he put in a good shift against quality. Special mention to Devine- only his second pro appearance at top level. Whatever happens in 2nd leg, this result gives us massive confidence, whether we play Randers or (likely LASK). Abernethy Saint
LASK won 1-0 away tonight, so looks like it will be them playing Galatasaray in the Conference League. Shipa and MySpazz 1

sideline
To be honest I expected Muzz despite him having a great game to be replaced by Liam at some stage of the second half. I think Davidson being great in the air was the factor in keeping him on. Mind you Liam delivers a mean set piece while Spoony’s delivery was a little disappointing tonight. cristo
Great result, great away performance. Imagine being gutted that we didn't win. A few years ago I'd be dancing in the streets at a result like that, tonight was run of the mill. Because that's what Saints have become. We'll take them next week. Still areas of the park we need more in. We seem to have lost our corner and freekick takers. Yeah, bench looked light with 3 or 4 kids who will not feature for us. Hopefully the big Finn Will be in soon but we need at least another 2. One of whom can hopefully hit a dead ball & also have a bit of pace. Bryson & Gilmour missing . Bryson due to injury but there has been no mention of Gilmour since he was given a 2 year contract.

jez1971
Fantastic result, proud of the players. Some outstanding performances; quite how Kerr doesn't seem to be in contention for a Scotland call up is beyond me. HOODLUM65

MySpazz
That was mental. I honestly thought we are getting horsed..........but that old chestnut: the longer the game goes on, the longer it stays nil nil.....then at 1-0 and -1-1 the Turks were starting to lose their shiiit, arguing and all that. What a belter. As for their keeper, went down like he'd been shot, conned the yellow, then saw red....glorious! Oh To Oh To Be..... mainstand
Incredible result and performance yes there might be some disappointed that they didn't hold on for a won. One of the few errors from young Devine but overall a great night and sets it up nicely for next Thursday. Come on saints get stuck right into them. Rest a few of these players from tonight on Sunday and give some of those on the bench a game. Running about in that heat getting right back ona plane getting into Edinburgh at 330 in the morning some tired players. HOODLUM65

TheYellowBox
Regardless of what happens from here on in, tonight's result will be added to a growing list of achievements for Saints over the last decade or so. To think that they celebrated like they did and were at points playing for time vs little old Saints is quite incredible. Bar the first 20 mins where we looked a bit shakey, thought we felt with them well. If folk were casting an eye over some of our players already, then it could end up being a very profitable scramble for Saints for some of them. McCann looked like he belongs at this level, but again, Kerr, McCart and Gordon were immense. What confidence that will give the players. I dont think it is a stretch to say Galatasary will not exactly be looking forward to the 2nd leg. They know they will be in a game and they will all be very aware of how bad an away record they have.
