  1. Really surprised at that viewpoint John, in my opinion that is the main part of his game which keeps him in the team. His defensive cover for MacKay is massive for the team. Appreciate everybody has their own opinions but his working back is very noticable to me and most of my mates who i attend the games with.

I actually thought in both games against County he worked his socks off defending. On several occasions bursting a gut to get back and cover a counter attack. Just shows how we all see games differently.

  5. The cup game in February and the game in April will see the worst kind of atmosphere . Grown men drinking and acting like they're 18 again. Lets just hope the team don't respond and play a wee bit football or we're all fvcked.

  6. Filled in mine and said they should ban singing and fun.

  7. As Jamie said, of course it matters. I'm not a fan of banning by association, but I'd be surprised if any of them have been banned simply for being a mamber of the "young team" as you call it. If individuals have been banned for a specific illegal or anti-social act, then maybe, just maybe it's justified. For example, how does punching on of our own fans at the Semi at Tynecastle, in front of his wife and children improve the atmosphere? I don't think there's any justification for that kind of behaviour at all to be honest. Likewise the throwing of a seat at the same game. I don't agree with generalising people and I've no doubt that not all the young guys in that area of the ground are young hooligans - but let's not kid ourselves that they're all wee angels either.

  8. I'd call it more ill-mannered than irritating, given that I've been willing to engage with you in every point you've put to me. If you have such conviction in your opinions, why are you so unwilling to debate or justify any of them? It makes it look a lot like you're unable to do so (perhaps because that's one of the hallmarks of bigotry).

  9. Yeah...I also miss the days it was ok to have a punch up at the game, be casually racist, pinch a woman's arse and queer bash. Sad times upon us imo.

  10. Personally never had a problem with the young guns and i sit just along from them. Cant see what merits being henus enough to be banned and have probably. behaved as bad or worse 30 years ago at Falkirk, Srirling and Dumfries,Fortunately back then you wouldn't Be banned for"a wee bit of a tear up"To many mamby pamby, goody two shoes happy to sit in a souless environment with the tartan blanket russling sweetie papers waiting on something to greet about.Football is all but ****ed as a working mans sport.

Hearn is totally right in pretty much everything he says. Doncaster and co were burnt in the rangers saga and should have been out after that. Comments actually made by them or not about Armageddon etc will have put any potential sponsors right off. Why would any company invest, when the guy sitting opposite you trying to sell the product, has and continues to tell people that it is somehow diminished?!? No one wants to be associated with that shower... That said, the real power for change sits with the clubs. Essentially doncaster is their employee and if they wanted to, could get rid of him. Saints obviously have to therefore take some of the blame, although I understand that brown has voiced his displeasure over the lack of sponsor.

  15. Id argue if you continuing portray yourself as a rascist(i dont accept islamaphobia as being non rascist), people reading your posts, will naturally think you are one. Maybe rational, reasonable argument might sway folk to believe you arent an extremist but one with a sympathetic point of view. Or maybe, more probably, you just want to troll?

  17. Take your point, although hopefully we will see a few of them in court pleading not guilty. We might then hear at least some of it. Thing is, if even some of the management, owners and fans had, from the beginning, done a hearts and held their hands up, and if even some of them showed some iota of a beginning to dropping the 1690 crap, a lot of us might even be sympathetic to the plight of a club repeatedly fleeced by city types. But they didn't and haven't so they can boil in hell as far as I'm concerned.

  19. I don't know how many times I ve said this ,If a crime was committed by an individual then it should of been reported to the police and dealt with. Folk have allegedly seen a person taking drugs in the stadium. Now if im right here, they chose to do nothing about both incidents but were happy to come on here blaming the collective "young team" . I'm also pissed off at the folk that said we didn't need these lads here at the football because they would supply the atmosphere in their absence . Well they re away , by whatever means the police are using and where are all these big mouths now. You would think by all their gallas talk on here they would be more than heard at the footy ,but no.

  20. Dunno if that's a troll or not, but laughing heartily at the slapstick comedy show that a club that cheated beyond all comprehension has become is not acting like a feral rodent. Those continuing to support said club are far more deserving of criticism in my opinion.

  21. Worth looking on SNSpix.com and searching for The cup final galleries on there. Or contact Graeme Hart at Perthshire Picture Agency - http://www.ppapix.co.uk - as he'll almost certainly have a team shot from pre match.

Has shitflinger actually been trying to find a sponsor? I genuinely doubt it. Failure to secure a sponsor of any description smacks of gross incompetence at best, bur Certainly a sackable offence. Get him out!

  24. Honest to god, what are you folk like? How do you ban "the young team". Define them, name them. A few daft Celtic and the the supporters who turned up for a few saints games and threw fireworks, seats, spit, drugs and violence around who didn't have th balls to travel to Glasgow to support their own fascists got banned. Boo hoo. Some people just want to be in a gang. Any gang. The one per cent of the brilliant scoreboard end who have been purged won't be missed. The rest are, have been, and will be the best part of the crowd.

  25. It does matter why to be fair. If it's for something bad then the ban could be seen to be fair. If it's unreasonable then people will rightly be on their side

  32. Rather than boycott it you could go but support the "Young Team" by; lighting a flare, throwing a seat at our goal keeper, spitting at opposition players, invading the pitch and stealing the flag of a dead fan. Allegedly of course.

    Half Season Tickets

pretty harsh, the guy made a valid point, half price tics should be as advertised half the price of original tics. im sure he will know nobody is forcing him to buy it. and im sure just because your "a saints fan" and have done it for 16 years, that you are no better a saints fan than him just because he tried to make a point.

  37. To be fair John, I don't think anyone was saying that the atmosphere and noisiness weren't enjoyable....everyone enjoys that. It's the other bits and pieces that go with the young team are the problem....having seen it a close hand, it's not great.

  38. Give it a few years and the next lot will come along doing the same shit , with the same old codgers or boring chunts like HSF moaning like feck , it's the cycle .

  39. Believe it or not it's possible to go to the Football and make a cracking atmosphere by singing, clapping, chanting, waving flags and banners and having some banter without being a complete and utter t***. None of these lads will have been banned for creating an atmosphere so lets not make a martyr out of them. Yes I think they bring something to the party and yes it's great to have young and enthusiastic fans getting right behind the team. However, that shouldn't be at the expense of those around them not having to endure thuggary and wankishness. I'm not the only one who lost any sympathy of the 'Young Team' when they started lobbing broken seats at our own Goalkeeper in the Semi-Final at Tynie.
    1 point
  40. Maybe the club should clarify this debate by issuing a statement in theline of "that any fans trying to create an atmosphere run the risk of being banned for life". Then we are all clear on the subject.

The problem is that "HE IS A CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER" Whether he claims it was all made up and consensual etc. etc. is neither here nor there. The fact remains that he was convicted in a court of law of a sexual offence. There are occupations which require the employee to have no criminal convictions etc. and I believe professional footballers should also fall into this category. Professional footballers have a responsibility to act and behave in a manner which is fitting of a person who is deemed to be a role model to younger players who aspire to be like them. For me having a convicted sex offender as a role model is abhorrent and should not happen. That's my tuppence worth anyway.
